Our First Glam Girls Night Out!

We had SO MUCH FUN the other night! It was a huge turn-out, and just the best group of women. I'm already thinking about how to do this again, so let me know if you want to be on the mailing list for the next one.

I'm keeping it short, because there are a TON of pictures. But I have to say thank you again to all my sweet friends who helped SO much! Tina and Michelle picked up all the food, trucked it out to New Braunfels from San Antonio, hauled it up a huge flight of stairs, and helped me set up/serve. All, while it was 100 degrees out, too! DD brought flowers and balloons, and worked with Tara, Lauren, and Katy to help people get signed up for Glam sessions. I don't know what I would have done without them. And Robyn worked her awesome make up magic, as usual. My friends rock. Oh, and if my landlord is reading this, I also want to thank him for being so accomodating. Letting me crank the air down to 60 (even though there were so many people, we were still sweating). Regardless, Ross thank you for putting up with an upstairs full of estrogen and pink feathers.  :)

I found the most realistic prop cigarettes at the costume shop, they even smoked!

Andrea from Moms Around SA, and her cute sisters!

Stephanie was nice enough to offer to take pics of the the party. I can't wait to see them! Thanks Steph!

 Love this of Angelia!

Kristyloohoo came all the way down from Dallas. It was so fun to see her, even though it wasn't nearly long enough. Miss you K-Lo! xo

It's not a party until someone loses a chicken cutlet.  :)

Misha rocking the 80's poses OUT! Love it!!

I hope she doesn't kill me for posting this, but it's too funny. I  told you it was HOT in there! :)

And this photo doesn't do it justice, but I just wanted to give a shout out to Awesome Phillipe at Coco. The food was so good! And if you haven't been there yet, you should definitely check it out. It's the perfect girls night or date night restaurant

And one more shout out to New Braunfels Medical Massage. I'm too lazy to tired to find their phone number right now, but google them! They did fabulous chair massages all evening, and were super nice to work with!

There are at least a hundred more photos that I'll post on facebook. So if you went to the party, and want to see them, "friend" me! :) And if there are any shots you'd like of yourselves, just let me know and I'll email them over. Just allow a few days to receive them, please.

Also, if you're interested in booking a Glam session, let me know! There are still spots in September and October!

Ciao!

the prep

My glamtastic friends have been stopping by all week to help me assemble bags. Chance was so cute too...he wanted to get in on every project. I kept remembering how my mom would always let me sit in the room with her and her friends. I loved it, and as long as I was quiet she wouldn't rush me up to my room. I can't say I'm the same way. But I think it's because my friends and I have more of a potty mouth than my mom ever did. Still, I tried to let him help with some stuff, because he was just so cute about it.

My life is PINK!

Dionisialiscicousness came over after a long day in heels, only to burn her fingers repeatedly with my glue gun. Now that is friendship. :)

And I wish I'd taken a photo of Tara the night before, because she worked her fingers to the bone on almost all the earrings and tons of wine charms. Here is Robyn, whipping up the last pair of earrings. Woo! We made it to sixty bags!

Robyn will be doing makeup tomorrow night, and also donated (my favorite for 5 years) Lancome mascara and a lip gloss for every bag! How amazing are my friends?! Truly, I would be huddled into the corner crying into a feather boa if it weren't for all their help. LOVE YOU GUYS! xo

And last but not least. Yes, I know it's supposed to be all glam. But is it really a party without a mullet wig? We are going to have fun in the photo booth!

Can't wait to see y'all! xox

Oh! One more thing, if you can't make it tomorrow night, but you still want to book a Glam session, call today or tomorrow and you'll still receive the special with the free album!

Same goes for family pics. Sitting fees are 50% off until tomorrow night! And remember, this is the last special I'll be running for the year. Right now, ALL weekend appointments are booked for 2009! And weekdays are scheduling 4-6 weeks out. So if you want pictures back for Christmas, call SOON peeps! :)

San Antonio Photolab

It feels like I've been limbless for the past few days, without my email! Looks like it's finally fixed though. Still, if you sent me an email and haven't gotten a response, I probably never got it. PLEASE RE-SEND. Thank you! :)

Anyone recognize yourself? This is what my living room looks like. They're for the studio, and also a display that will be going up at the fabulous Dr. Gallagher's office pretty soon. It's been like Christmas opening them up. San Antonio Photolab did an AMAZING job with them. For years, I used to send my stuff out to other labs in other states, because it seemed like it was the "professional" thing to do. Then I'd be in a pinch, and drop something off at SA Photo, and the results were so much better. So now I use them for mostly everything. Gus and the whole team are awesome, and I'm just a big fan of spending your money locally whenever possible. OR, if you don't have a good local lab, you can order with them online. Their customer service is SUPERB, turn around is FAST, and shipping is FREE. I heart them.

Shannon + Jeff + Help for Karen

This is my cute friend Shannon, and her cute boyfriend Jeff. And they are so cute together. I think I told them that too much at their shoot. But I couldn't help it because they're so cute.

And I loved her cute dress too...which incidentally she has a hilarious story about. I'm not going to tell it, except to say that it involved the play Wicked + a street vent. Maybe Shannon will read this, and fill in the deets in the comments. It's one of the best stories ever! Shannon?? :)

Jeff is really camera shy. It was a constant struggle trying to lure him out of his shell.

Fave.

Okay, one more thing. Remember when Shannon hosted a Hot Mama shoot at her house? Well, that's how I met Tracy Kubinski. Which is how I met Karen Hansel. Remember the one who is battling with stage 4 cancer? Well, you know how the world's problems can seem overwhelming? And you know how you always wish there was something you could do to make a difference? Well, this is one real way. In a nutshell, Karen is a single mom, battling a very cruel disease. Tracy has put together a way for you to donate either old gold (you know you have some 1994 crap that is wasting away in your jewelry box). Put it to good use! Or you can purchase a few raffle tickets  ($20 each). The grand prize is a 5 day Caribbean cruise! If you're interested in helping, there are more details up today at Shutter Sisters

And thank you again to everyone who has already emailed about helping! You all are completely amazing! xo
