Glam Sessions

The last Glam Session of the year is tomorrow, and I just realized I never posted photos from the last ones. So here ya go!

Gorgeous Amy. I know this doesn't mean anything if you don't know my sister. But if you do, don't they almost look like twins?! It was a little twilight zone-ish looking at her through the camera. Felt like Kelly was right there. Only not. (boo)

These next two are my favorites of her set. She has the most stunning eyes, doesn't she? She brought bazillions of awesome accessories. And our mutual friends Tara and Cara were there to hang out. So it was just fun playing dress up and hanging out together.

Dell has a fun story behind her shoot. Her husband happened to be watching the last time I was on Living in January. So HE was the one to call me and purchase a session for her (I LOVE WHEN BOYS DO THAT). Then on the day of the shoot he even stopped by with roses for her. So sweet.

Kelly just makes me wish I could love the gym. Such good things can happen to a body when you embrace the pain of that place.

Remember cutie pattootie Kris? She has so many more amazing shots, but I'm not showing them because they were for her anniversary.  :)

My friend Ranita. These were for her hubbie, and also to celebrate her 40th birthday. I can hear some 40 year olds smashing tomatoes into their computer screen right now. I know I want to do it, and I'm 35!

My friend Shannon. She might be one of the people I admire most on this whole planet. Besides just being a really sweet person, she's a partner at Bridgeway, which is a foundation dedicated to finding ways to end genocide. She is exceedingly brave, with an equally rare depth of compassion. I'm continually in awe of her, and of all that she does in this world.

It's probably fair to say that the red lipstick was slightly (okay mostly) peer-pressured onto her by me and Robyn. And it was probably a slight (okay major) departure for her. But she was a great sport about it. :)

Thank you to each and every single beautiful lady who joined us for these shoots, and for any of the other ones in the past. If my life ever slows down for more than two seconds, I'm tossing around the idea of putting together a girls' night for anyone who has every done a Glam Session. Wouldn't that be fun?!

It is always so much fun getting to know everyone. And this weekend will be extra special because my friend and fellow photographer, KATE MEFFORD, who I haven't seen since WPPI 08 is coming down to rock her own session out! Can't wait to see her!

It's so hard to believe this will be my last Glam Session for the rest of the 2009. This year is FLYING.

Our First Glam Girls Night Out!

We had SO MUCH FUN the other night! It was a huge turn-out, and just the best group of women. I'm already thinking about how to do this again, so let me know if you want to be on the mailing list for the next one.

I'm keeping it short, because there are a TON of pictures. But I have to say thank you again to all my sweet friends who helped SO much! Tina and Michelle picked up all the food, trucked it out to New Braunfels from San Antonio, hauled it up a huge flight of stairs, and helped me set up/serve. All, while it was 100 degrees out, too! DD brought flowers and balloons, and worked with Tara, Lauren, and Katy to help people get signed up for Glam sessions. I don't know what I would have done without them. And Robyn worked her awesome make up magic, as usual. My friends rock. Oh, and if my landlord is reading this, I also want to thank him for being so accomodating. Letting me crank the air down to 60 (even though there were so many people, we were still sweating). Regardless, Ross thank you for putting up with an upstairs full of estrogen and pink feathers.  :)

I found the most realistic prop cigarettes at the costume shop, they even smoked!

Andrea from Moms Around SA, and her cute sisters!

Stephanie was nice enough to offer to take pics of the the party. I can't wait to see them! Thanks Steph!

 Love this of Angelia!

Kristyloohoo came all the way down from Dallas. It was so fun to see her, even though it wasn't nearly long enough. Miss you K-Lo! xo

It's not a party until someone loses a chicken cutlet.  :)

Misha rocking the 80's poses OUT! Love it!!

I hope she doesn't kill me for posting this, but it's too funny. I  told you it was HOT in there! :)

And this photo doesn't do it justice, but I just wanted to give a shout out to Awesome Phillipe at Coco. The food was so good! And if you haven't been there yet, you should definitely check it out. It's the perfect girls night or date night restaurant

And one more shout out to New Braunfels Medical Massage. I'm too lazy to tired to find their phone number right now, but google them! They did fabulous chair massages all evening, and were super nice to work with!

There are at least a hundred more photos that I'll post on facebook. So if you went to the party, and want to see them, "friend" me! :) And if there are any shots you'd like of yourselves, just let me know and I'll email them over. Just allow a few days to receive them, please.

Also, if you're interested in booking a Glam session, let me know! There are still spots in September and October!

Ciao!

the prep

My glamtastic friends have been stopping by all week to help me assemble bags. Chance was so cute too...he wanted to get in on every project. I kept remembering how my mom would always let me sit in the room with her and her friends. I loved it, and as long as I was quiet she wouldn't rush me up to my room. I can't say I'm the same way. But I think it's because my friends and I have more of a potty mouth than my mom ever did. Still, I tried to let him help with some stuff, because he was just so cute about it.

My life is PINK!

Dionisialiscicousness came over after a long day in heels, only to burn her fingers repeatedly with my glue gun. Now that is friendship. :)

And I wish I'd taken a photo of Tara the night before, because she worked her fingers to the bone on almost all the earrings and tons of wine charms. Here is Robyn, whipping up the last pair of earrings. Woo! We made it to sixty bags!

Robyn will be doing makeup tomorrow night, and also donated (my favorite for 5 years) Lancome mascara and a lip gloss for every bag! How amazing are my friends?! Truly, I would be huddled into the corner crying into a feather boa if it weren't for all their help. LOVE YOU GUYS! xo

And last but not least. Yes, I know it's supposed to be all glam. But is it really a party without a mullet wig? We are going to have fun in the photo booth!

Can't wait to see y'all! xox

Oh! One more thing, if you can't make it tomorrow night, but you still want to book a Glam session, call today or tomorrow and you'll still receive the special with the free album!

Same goes for family pics. Sitting fees are 50% off until tomorrow night! And remember, this is the last special I'll be running for the year. Right now, ALL weekend appointments are booked for 2009! And weekdays are scheduling 4-6 weeks out. So if you want pictures back for Christmas, call SOON peeps! :)

Hot Mamas: Kristy + Chasity + Jana

Um hello. Gotta love a hot mama + long hair and a fan. Go Kristy! :)

My friend Chasity used to be Chance's preschool teacher. She wanted to keep her boudoir shots private, but I will say that she looked like anything but a preschool teacher.  Rock it girls!  :)

Chasity has been long-time friends with Jana. They planned shoots together so they could give albums to their husbands in Napa next month, when they're celebrating anniversaries. How cool, right?! And they're also both photographers. So it was extra fun working with them, playing with different ideas.

The Brown-Eyed Girl.  :)

Love this one.

Again, makeup was by: Robyn at robyncchappell@yahoo.com. Hair was by: Jaime at ME Salon (210) 798-4444. They both rock. :)
