Bits
Feeling spoiled. My friend Selena brought this over to thank me for her maternity session. Which was crazy considering I should be the one thanking HER for sitting on cement while I painted her belly in 90 degree heat. Then I made her lay down in the grass, (which was really more dirt), while propping her head up on a bag of paint (as a pillow). She was a robo-belly-model FOR SURE.
Bath Junkie is my favorite good-smelling store in SA-Town. I always want to open every business that impresses me. But if I was in the market for a franchise, this would be at the top of the list. They just do a great job of executing the whole concept. I intervied the local owners, (back when I was sending out newsletters instead of blogging). And they're really cool...basically two friends that jumped in and are making it happen. Love that. So, swing by. Their shop is an escape. You can design your own fragrances, lotions, and even find your fortune in the soap.
Chance did the Bike Rodeo at school today, which was HOT fun. I thought it was going to be a parade of kids aimlessly driving around in circles. Turns out it was a competition. They had to drive through cones and everything. Then Chance (who can be Mr. Competetive) came home all disappointed that he didn't win "the gold medal". We had to have the you-win-some-you-lose-some talk. Not sure if it was helping much though because he was still all mopey.
After that, I went hunting for the perfect ice cream shop for a maternity shoot tomorrow. One trip to Gruene, and 3 hours later, I FOOOUND IT. And I CANNOT WAIT for the shoot now!
This is a totally random picture from Girls Night Out last week. (I didn't take any last night). But this is too good not to post. I don't know what prompted it, but I hope we're still laughing at side ponies when we're 90. Love you guys (girls).
Also, I have to say there is nothing funner (yes, I like that word even though it's not real) than sending something off at UPS, only to see it show up on your computer screen one week later. I know I've said it a lot, but Kal, thank you again for solving my identity crisis. You are my favorite friend that I've never met. :0)
Also, one of my other favorite bloggers linked to me. Totally made my day. And, (unrelated again) I really wanted to do Tracey's challenge today about 'ritual'. Then realized nothing in my scattered life repeats itself predictably, except for the coffee and beer. That felt so cliche, so I opted out. BUT. I hate snails and she managed to take a photo of one that doesn't churn my stomach. You should see it.
One more thing, about the Obagi system. Meliss, I will do a before and after to show you guys the results in a few weeks. No makeup, no retouching. The real deal just like a Proactiv Infomercial. Because I love you internet. :0)
Oh, and Kelly FINALLY updated her blog (sister, don't be getting me hooked on something if you're not going to keep up!). And I only have one thing to say. You know you live in CalifornI. A. when you are taking your kids to label wine. California...knows how to party... WOOT.
