Happy Labor Day Weekend!
I told Kal (do I really need to link to her? I'm pretty sure we all know who she is) that I like painting, but all the stars have to align perfectly for me to do it. Well, Jason was in Dallas last night for "work". I use that term loosely considering that he got to spend the night hanging with Kristi and Paul. I was extremely jealous and told them they were not allowed to laugh without me. That they could only talk about serious topics like death and math. Then I tried to cheer myself up with paint. This is what came out and I loved it. I only have one question, for all you artists out there...is it technically a taboo thing to have your pencil lines show through? Because I was digging them and even added more, and then painted over those again. I think it's my cheating way to add some dimension because I don't really know how to do it with paint.
Anyway, after I painted it I thought it looked like Summer's Last Hoorah, which is perfect for this long Labor Day weekend. So, have a FUN FUN break you crazy internet homeys! I will be working all weekend, but it's a little exciting because I happen to be photographing two local celebrities. I don't know how it coincided into one weekend, but Sunday is Shelly Miles of San Antonio Living show again and tomorrow, a maternity shoot for Jamie Martin, the radio DJ at KJ97. So be on the look out for those next week. Also, be on the look out for more paintings. Now that I pulled it all out, I'm in the MODE. Next up is my 1+1+1.
Hasta la vista!
