The weekend.

Has it been a fun break? We've been chillin' like villians. Well, I've been working too, but I'm not sure it counts because the shoots have been so fun. I've had a blast shooting this weekend.
So we bought this slide for Chance's birthday party coming up. Jason stared at it for an hour and you could tell he was dying to get on too. Finally shorts and all, he flipped down the thing, and then stayed on it the rest of the afternoon.
Okay, so I'll admit that I got on it later too. But the day you see me post a photo of myself in a bathing suit is the day pigs will fly out of your computer screen.
Speaking of pigs flying...more tomatoes from the yard. OUR yard. That does not belong to the neighbor or a farm.
Jason took these. She's our pet gecko who lives on the deck. She likes to dance the rhumba. And all day I was trying to name her, but nothing fit. Then I read one of the comments from the last post. Are you kidding me?! ALICE VALENTINE. That is officially my new favorite name. If I was having another child I would seriously consider it. But since that's not going to happen, our gecko gets to have the coolest name on the planet. Meet Alice Valentine. :0)
She's a crazy girl who changes color when the camera's pointed at her...because she's just a ham and a superstar like that.
This cracks me up. I'm going through wipes like crazy because Emily finds them and empties the contents to make beds for all her toys. Her sleeping "babies" are all over the house. Under the coffee table, on the stairs, in the middle of the kitchen floor. Even though it drives me nuts, I think it's funny and adorable.
Then this afternoon we watched Blades of Glory. On video because our theater days are extinct. Well at least severely endangered. And I know I said Conan OBrien is my boyfriend. But Will Ferrell is my first love. And I have a crush on Jon Heder since Napolean Dynamite too. Have you guys see it? The dancing sequence when they're performing for the first time made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe for five minutes. Tears were STREAMING way into the next scene. You have to get it and rewind that part at least three times.
And one more thing, I'm normally a freak about not showing any pictures until they're ALL totally finished. But I got an email from Shelly this morning asking "just one?". So, here you go missy. You did SUCH A DAMN GOOD JOB yesterday.
I'll post more from her shoot later this week, along with other randomly unimportant details of my life. Woot.

A little info on my name. The full thing is Alice Valentine Marie Hess. I have two middle names, both came from my great grandma's. Valentine was my great grandma Winnifred's middle name, and I plan on passing it down to my daughter.
