Bits from the weekend.

A few shots from the weekend. It was our friend Paul's birthday so we had a little impromptu celebration here. As usual, we spent the night on the porch listening to music and laughing about who knows what. This has pretty much been the routine since I met Kristi two years ago when our kids were in preschool together. Now they have the nerve to leave us by moving to Dallas. I'm thinking I will never forgive them.  :0)

I also finally got my 80s party invitations done. Do you know they STILL make puffy paint?!! And yes Melody, I do take my parties very seriously. :0)

                                                                                                                                                       I have four photo sessions to edit through that will be posted throughout the week. And the WOAI blog should be up soon. I have a bunch of AWESOME photographers who have agreed to be interviewed, which is very exciting to me considering the fact that I'm such a huge fan of all of them! I can't wait to hear what they have to say and it should be great info for anyone out there who wants to take better photos.

I am very lucky to be receiving one of those most creative invitations. At least..I think I am getting one! :-) I graduated high school May 1987--so 20 years ago! One of my favorite movies from the 80's--FOOTLOOSE!!!

What was "the" drink of the eighties? Considering I wasn't legal yet - I wouldn't know.

I don't know either! Were there any classic 80s drinks? Anyone?

I was in middle and high school remember.....beer bongs were popular; everclear mixed with anything; strawberry hill; people beginning to bring back "cocktails"...big, fluffy and tropical; cosmo's became big in certain areas..like CA and NY; and I think vodka dominated in the 80's...again, mixed with anything. I think I mixed it with grapefruit juice a few times.

I love your blog. After watching it for months, I got my friend Vanessa to take pictures with you this weekend - she said you were great and it was so much fun. My secret wish is to be a better photographer. I would love any tips you can give or workshops you can recommend. I even want advice on cameras etc. Since I'm willing to try your hair stylist, I should be willing to follow your camera tips too! I hope your party is fun, is it for a special occasion?
