Manic Monday

Hi peeps, I'm slacking on my Best Shot Monday because I'll be in Boerne trashing prom dresses with Sandee and Bonnie. I've been wanting to do this for months! I had a fun maternity shoot this weekend and just looked at my calendar to realize that this week is going to be NON-STOP. How about you? Did you have a good weekend? Do you have a million things to get done this week too?

Well the fireflies are keeping me going. And I'm seriously counting down. Jason called his mom tonight and she mentioned that she was making firefly containers for all the children at the reunion. Then I hear him say, "Well mom, you better make one for Maile too. I think she's more excited about them than the kids". Then in a gesture that makes me even love her more, she told him that she already did. In fact, she has said to me that whenever she sees fireflies she thinks of me. ...Okay, so maybe I went a slight bit crazy the first time I saw them in her backyard. I still think fireflies are not a bad thing to be remembered by.

 

Oh, and if you're looking for another place to visit today, I think you should go see my friend Melissa. We've been friends since the 10th grade and have a very long history. She was with me when I met Jason (15 years ago), we lived in Hawaii together for a summer, she was in my wedding...I could go on and on. Basically, she's a very amazing/ smart/ stylish little socialite who now lives in the heart of San Francisco. But that's not why you should go visit her. You should go see her because tomorrow is her first day back to work after maternity leave. And if you have kids, and you have to work (outside the home), you KNOW how HARD that day can be. So please find it in your self and in your keyboard to bring her a cup of sugar today too. Thank you very much!!!

fireflies are soothing growing up in michigan and missouri i got to experience the joy of fireflies nightly in the summer. i would have my mason jar out and ready to fill up! you can rub their "sunshine" (that's what i use to call the little yellow light) onto your skin and you can add a bit of their sunshine to you! :) (now that i type that i'm thinking that could be classified as animal cruelty so i apologize to any PETA folks who might read this...but it really was in good fun! :O )

I LOVE these!!! I must, absolutely, HAVE TOO see the one of them in the dryers in COLOR! I have been dying to do a session in a laundromat, but have yet to have a client who wants to try it. Great job on these.
