Alli The Great

Once upon a time I went to Nashville to photograph one of the new fall styles. Alli had graciously agreed to be the next Epiphanie model. And in true form, I made things more complicated than they needed to be by organizing a girls trip around it because:

1. I am addicted to girls' trips.

2. I think work and play should converge whenever possible.

3. No photo shoot is complete without a little bruising

It was such a great time. I'm now an advocate for planning random girls' trips around any sort of business travel. Dental conference in Des Moines? Realtor meeting in Bakersfield? Party.

...The only thing is that I might have extended my complication extravaganza a little too much, by deciding to entirely change the design of the new style ... oohhhh you know weeks AFTER our shoot.

1. I am clearly allergic to simplicity. And there is not even a 2 or 3.

Sooo, I won't be posting the photos from the first bag because I've since broken up with it. But I do have a few of Alli that we just took for fun. And she is too cute not to plaster all over the internet.

Alli is The Quintessential Southern Belle in the loveliest sense.

My favorite:

If you don't know Alli, she is (among other things) founder of all things Blissdom. I think she is also Czar of the Internet

And this look, including the belt that was cut from a pair of orange TIGHTS was crafted by amazing Macgyver Stylist: Erin Loechner

I love everyone involved in this photo shoot. EVERYONE.

The shoes are totally speaking to me and I had no idea Alli was a cheerleader with those high-kicks.

HAHAHA. Of course I knew. It's Alli, for crying out loud. She screams cheerleader. xoxo

Kelly, me too. The only thing that would have made it better is if you were there (& you too Rach). Her kicks, I know right? We should have known she was a secret rockette.

Every time I read your new posts I wish I got to hang with you. In real life. Not virtual world where I read this while sitting on my vacation rental porch in the Blue Ridge drinking sangria. That is all true...the porch, the sangria, and the mountains! It isn't virtual. Wait, I'm confusing myself:). And my husband because I'm talking to my iPad. He may take away the sangria.

Blogging and social media is confusing sometimes:). Love today's post!

I love your three addictions - all so fun. Especially number one - you can never go wrong with a girls' trip, always going to be a good time!
Much love,

Those at the window turned out AMAZING!!! You did a great job with the bad weather! Alli is a fantastic model, no doubt. If I could kick like that I'd be doing it all the time. I'd just walk down the street kicking.

I still haven't gotten those photos off my camera card. Shame on me. Maybe at the year anniversary I will do it. It will be fun to look back on them:-)

you should give away the bag you decided not to use to a native San Antonian in need :)

Hi Delaney, that's a great suggestion. We actually do work with a local charity to give away bags that we aren't able to sell for whatever reason. Thanks so much for commenting. :)

Most of all, be confident in your rights and responsibilities - of other people perceive you as a role model, they will likely take steps to act like one themselves.

If you want to have prenuptial shoot in baywalk or other popular areas/parks, schedule it on weekdays where there's bound to be less people than on weekends. It's very difficult to shoot when there are people passing by between the photographer and the couple, plus most of the couples feel uncomfortable when there are strangers staring at them while they're having their pictorial.
