The weekenders
So last week the kids were off for spring break. I thought I would be leaving for Portland yesterday, to spend the week with the Photogirls. So I was working 12+ hours a day, trying to get ready for it. Then plans abruptly changed, and now I'm not sure when I'll be able to leave. Boo on missing another photogirl adventure. BUT, after spending so much time gettting caught up on work, I was able to spend the whole weekend with the kids. That was so nice. Jason took Chance to get a haircut, and to buy a BB gun (obviously a strategic plan on his part to buy it when I'm not there) on Saturday. While the girls and I stayed home and played dress up.
Cutie pattootie cream puff babies.
I love these images of them so much. Might have them blown up if they didn't have all the "Toddlers In Tiaras" makeup on. Darnit.
Jason had been working really long hours during spring break, too. And apparently the parent-guilt was also getting to him. Because the next thing I knew there was a tent in the backyard, and we were all going "camping".
Complete with smores...
And a movie playing on the computer. Yep, we are hard core, and this is how we roll in the "woods". And no, we did not even attempt to sleep out there.
I even got to read, and almost finished Predictably Irrational. It's not exactly escapist, but a really intriguing book about how we all make decisions. I have so much to say about it, but maybe another day. I have to get back to work after all that chillaxing.
Hope you all had a good one too!
