Mullin, Texas

These were taken on the wayhome from a big family shoot in Mullin yesterday.Took me 3 hours to get there, and 5 hours to get home. I think I'm starting to love these long alone-with-my-music-and-camera rides.

City hall.

I'd never seen this before,so it stunned me. At first I thought there was some deep meaning behind it. Like other coyotes would be scared off by the site of their buddy strung up on a fence, and run for cover. But when I asked about it, Shirley (the cute mom from yesterday's family) said flatly, "Nope, they're just showin' off!"

Jason was pretty stoked about his dirty car when I got home. He's literally at the car wash right now as I type. Nevermind that my van is disgusting. :)

       Happy Sunday! :)

I love the city hall and Phillips 66 photos the best. The first one is a great use of space - how you put the city hall to the far left and let the telephone line use the rest of the space really shows how far apart things are in the country.

Awesome!

You've captured so well the desperation, dereliction, and the despair but made it beautiful in a way...
I got here from SS today.

Loved these shots. And pretty much every one you post. I have had a slow day at work and have been looking at the blogs of strangers and having a blast doing it. Stumbled on to you through Shutter Sisters, which I stumbled onto through someone else I can't even remember. These shots remind me of the ones I took of my family's farm in a small town in South Georgia over Christmas. Such fun! You're on my favorites page now...so I'll be back.
