Shelly Miles

So, if you live in San Antonio you probably recognize Shelly Miles. She does the traffic on WOAI, as well as hosts the Living Show.

This was cute. She came over early for hair and makeup. Emily saw it, and decided it was time daddy had a makeover. (excuse the blurry snapshots)

We got SO LUCKY. As soon as we drove into town, there were some really nice guys filling up their Harleys at the gas station. Sandee screached the car over to catch them and they graciously let us grab a few shots on their motorcycles. If you're reading this, THANK YOU!

Then we found the junk shop. And as you can tell from yesterday's post, I pretty much fell in love with it.

This is cute Mimi. She lent us a cigarette for the shot in yesterday's post. I'm telling you, it was one cool person after another.

Then we headed over to the laundr-o-mat. It was quite the spectacle in there. Shelly in the mini and me balancing on a chair to get this shot. You can tell the guys in the background were like, "What the...?"

Then DD had this idea of just including them in the shot. Totally one of my favorites from the day. Good job DD!

Oh Maile, your work is the genius of happy! Every shot was more delightful than the last. And the laudromat... that was the laugh out loud point! I love that Shelly thought to include those fellows. They'll be tellin' their grand-little-ones about this in the years to come. And Shelly... what a living, breathing doll! It was so good to see precious Sandy too, who is the angel everyone prays for in their lives. And you. My brilliant girl.

So, so proud.

I just went to see the whole gallery. It reminds me of a magazine-fashion shoot. Awesome.

Oh wow! I'm shocked at how great all of those are... I'm just starting out and am no way that great! I love the 9th photo and the editing you did. Can I ask what actions you used to get that effect? Just wanting to do better...

Fantastic as ever Maile! I can see why you love that junk shop. The backdrops are sensational. Really like the one of Shelley looking at her reflection in the old scales.
