Professional Business Portraits

We're starting out all business on a Monday morning. :)

I did some headshots a few weeks ago for The PHMY Law Firm. Initially, I'd expected a very formal shoot, but it turned out to be lots of fun. They were going for "professional, but approachable", and I think we acheived it. A big thank you to Jane Fritz and Melanie Vaneck who organized everyone throughout the morning.

I still get so many requests for professional headshots, and organizing everyone in your office for the same day is the BEST way to do it. This way, the lighting is consistent for each photograph, and it gives your website a way more cohesive and professional look. I will come to your office, so it's really convenient. And the pricing is all-inclusive...meaning you get the CD afterwards, as well as the copyright. So if you're interested, email me and I'll give you a quote based on how many people you need photographed. info@relishportraitstudio.com

Those are a great relief from the normal business shots you see. Great job!

Maile,
Those are great! Can I ask what type of background and lighting you used. I get asked to do that type of stuff all the time, but turn it down because I'm intimidated by it. I'm all about that natural light stuff. I'd still like to be able to offer this service to people. Can you help me out by answering a couple of questions? :) Thanks! By the way, I love your site and read it daily!

thanks Shannon! I have a big light box that i usually bring with me, but this room had great natural light, so I used the window. I just brought a muslin backdrop, draped over a 3-piece portable stand. I pulled them far enough away from it, so the backdrop would really blur out and shot at 1.4. So it's just window light with a muslin. :0)

But I can still see signature Maile in every one.

Mission accomplished!
You pulled it off beautifully.
Professional and yet warm.
Now that says something.

You should do school portraits! They would beat the heck out of what I got growing up (and I'm sure many others!)

So true, I can see your warmth and spirit, even in professional headshots!
