Aloha

Jason bought this for me when I was missing Hawaii. Yes, he is sweet like that. Unfortunately though, the hibiscus is not cutting it when I know that Kelly is on MAUI RIGHT NOW. AND, she had the nerve to email me some video of a luau last night. She is evil. Okay, maybe I begged for it, but still. How dare she.

I would write more, but I'm trying to inflame my carpel tunnel on this keyboard, to the point of needing surgery. Because I love sympathy and want everyone to send me cards and flowers and bags of candy. And cupcakes. And gift certificates for pedicures and also tickets to Paris. Or Maui. Yes, Maui. That would make my carpel tunnel feel so much better. Maui No Ka 'Oi. Hmm...I just thought of a little contest. The first person who can tell me what that means (in the comments) gets a book of their choice from Amazon (up to $15). How's that for spreading a little Aloha into your weekend?

Love you sister. xo

Here's a song titled: Maui Nö Ka `Oi
Majestic beyond compare
Is Maui in the calm
Proud, her mountain tops
For Maui excells

Chorus:
There is none to compare with her
In her calm tranquility
A joy always, is Haleakalâ
Maui excells

One would like to see
The rain and the low sky
And the sparkling waters
Maui excells

Beautiful to the sight
Is the sand of Punahoa
And the water of Waihe`e
Maui excells all

Stumbled on your website via Tracey Clark. Love it!!! The picture is gorgeous. I was reading your bio and I work at a Glamour Shots type place too. It gives me hope because I'm just starting out, learning all I can, and maybe someday I'll have my own studio like you. Thanks for the inspiration. You just won over a new reader!

Hibiscus are one of my fave flowers. They do ok over here in Aus, I have several of them although they're struggling in the drought. It sucks to miss home doesn't it? That's why I moved back from the UK in 2003. Mind you, Maui would be a pretty cool place to live too!!!
