in the midst.

I've been trying not to talk about or mention, or even remotely infer that I am overwhelmed. Mostly because I think I say it too much, especially at this time of year. And I'm sick of hearing myself. Plus, I know that all my lovely helpful friends will tell me the things that I already know. Like, "Delegate" and "learn to say no". It's funny how many people tell you to say "no", until it's them you are saying "no" to. :)

But I digress. What I really wanted to say is that I'm finding that the life I want to live is always much closer than I think. Sometimes it's just as close as the trampoline in the backyard.

I have more to say on this, but it will have to wait because I'm almost late for a shoot!

Enjoy your day today. Find what's means the most to you, even in the midst of whatever else is masquerading as 'important'.  :)

You break my heart.
In the very, very best possible sense.
The way every heart needs to be broken
to experience truest joy...
truest freedom...
truest Love.

Remain in that Love.
You're right on track.

(And you can say "No" to me anytime.)

L'chaim!

You hit the nail on the head! So easy for people to tell you to say "no" until they want you to do their Christmas card photos :) Thanks for keeping it real - it's so easy to think that satisfaction will come at the end of the to-do list!

You wrote just exactly what I feel these days! Trying so hard to delegate, say no, prioritize and have some eternal perspective. Its so hard to tell people no! Especially during Christmas card season :).

Wow. My last post was about this very thing. Feeling overwhelmed. Believing I'm behind and unsure about what it'll take to catch up. *sigh*

Thanks for the reminder. The things we want are often, like you say, much closer than we believe or allow ourselves to see. My two loves are in bed asleep and I'm catching up on editing. Or reading blogs. Or editing. LOL. Okay, really must get back to editing now!

"It's funny how many people tell you to say "no", until it's them you are saying "no" to. :) " THIS. Yes.

"Find what's means the most to you, even in the midst of whatever else is masquerading as 'important'. " Also THIS. Good, good advice. Thank you.

AND - were you underneath the trampoline? Or is that looking through a mesh that goes around it?

I really *heart* trampolines. SO FREE. Jumping around. Awesomeness.

Lovely post, you are leaving me hanging though... I want more. ;)

It definitely is hard, but there always has to be balance and we all have to keep our eye on the top priorities and the big picture, it's definitely easier said than done.

I *really* needed that! I am such a poor excuse for a mother this week.

It's so hard not to complain when we're overwhelmed. I feel the same way. And then those kids of ours have a way to bring us back to the things that matter.
