Pieces

I don't know how I managed to speed up a life that was already on fast-forward. But I did. Somewhere along the way, the pieces of my days got launched into a tornado. They swirl around in circles. So I focus on the most important bits, like my children eating, and urgent deadlines. The other pieces fall into random places and corners. And they wait. And I can hear them waiting. Because things, and people who are waiting for you, even if they're silent, are really loud. And the longer they wait, the louder they get. And it's not their fault that they're waiting. But some days, when Jason says, "It's okay if you don't want to do this anymore", I believe him. Then I know that it really wouldn't be okay, because I chose these pieces. I love them, and want them all. I just can't find the pause button. IS there one? If not, I would settle for figuring out a way for the pieces to stop hitting me in the face. I look at her, and her, and her and it makes me think that it's possible to do lots of things at once...and even do them gracefully. I guess all I can say is that I'm working really hard at it.

I'll be back tomorrow with more Valentine's photos, as well as the story behind this cute rose-petal-throwing family! I'll give you a hint, they are San Antonio's Baby/Mommy Wellness Power Couple. Like the Brad and Angelina of Healthiness.  :)

And, I also posted here today. Please come over and say hello.

I don't know about a pause button but I think there is a button for a moment to sit, breath and then jump back in! It's wonderful you have inspiration from others surrounding you!

And can we talk about the chair in that photo? How cool is that!

I could have written EVERY LAST WORD that you posted here! I feel the EXACT same way. I think often about letting the business go... but I know that would not make me happy. I just have to SOMEHOW find balance! When you get it figured out... let me know! ;-)

I read a quote from Steve Jobs the other day that really hit home for me..."Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

As long as your listening to that "inner voice" you'll be ok.

Do you ever sit back and look at YOU and just go WOW! Because you should.

Love Paul's quote.

"WOW!" dittos to Karen.

Only "sitting back" for that pensive moment would take time.

One more random screaming scrap fallen in the corners of 'Notice Me!' Land.

Funny that you wrote, I look at her, and her, and her... because you are one of my hers. Love what you do. But to burn out a passion is a life faul. Passions are for life, not for work. Hire an assisant, even if it is temporary. You'll thank yourself later for it.

Sometimes burning the candle at both ends gets us closer to center. Finding balance always takes effort. You are one of my 'hers' too.
