Eliana
I don't know what happened when Dawn called me to schedule her daughter's portrait session. But it didn't click with me that she was turning ONE...which means that she may or may not be walking. I usually suggest doing shots at home with little ones. I can't remember if I did make that recommendation, or if Dawn just wanted something different. At any rate, we ended up in Boerne. We all know how much I love that little town. BUT, it's a little different when you are shooting a BABY there. Everywhere we went to set her down was filthy...you know, the GROUND has a tendency to be that way. But, both Dawn and Matt (Eliana's dad) were TROOPERS. They hiked ALL over town with me as I scratched my head looking for a spot that wasn't littered with broken glass and bottle tops. At one point, Matt even crossed a four lane highway, while holding her cake. I so hope they got to have a margarita later. Here is some of what we came up with. I think it was worth the effort.
This is Eliana doing "ojitos", which I think means "little eyes". She was melting everyone.
I love the adoration in Dawn's face here, when she didn't know she was being photographed.
The flying ballerina.
Happy Birthday sweetie pie.
