I'm always surprised to find out that anyone beyond my mom and sister are reading this blog. So it was fun to not only get an email from someone in North Carolina yesterday, but also included were these great shots she had taken. I haven't been good at keeping up with the photo contests recently, so I'm putting them on hold for a while. However, if you want to share your work, email me, and I'll probably post them. This brings me to my other point which is about starting a blog. I started this one a few months ago, mostly because it was easier to keep up with than my monthly newsletter. It's been a great marketing tool, but also so much fun! Even if you don't have a business, I would encourage everyone to do it. Some people have been blogging for years, and the whole concept is old news. But I know that it's still a relatively new concept for others. So, if it is kind of new to you, a good place to start is www.blogger.com, www.typepad.com, or my personal favorite because their templates are nicer www.squarespace.com
