San Antonio Living Show

I think this was the fourth time I've been on the show,  but I still woke up with visions of myself blurting out obscenities on live television. You think I'm kidding. I swear. It's like when you're not supposed to laugh in church, and all of a sudden everything is hysterical. That's how I feel every time the camera is pointed at me. That for no reason, I will break out into Terets, and scream out every curse word that I've ever heard. Seventeen gallons of coffee didn't help.

But I have to say that once I got to the station, it was no sweat. My sweet friend Selena who normally produces the weather, happened to be filling in to help. And Shelly is a good friend now, so it kind of felt like I was just chillin at girls night. Well, minus the wine. Anyway, if you want to check it out, here's the link.

Behind the scenes

If you live in San Antonio, maybe you noticed that the Living show has a new format now. On Monday, we went down to surprise and congratulate Shelly. Then she said if we promised to turn off our cell phones, we could watch the whole show from their new prop couch. It was fun. And she was so cool under pressure, even after the main feature of the show had to be cancelled. They'd originally planned to interview a bunch or mommies at a coffee shop about the first day of school. But the truck broke down, and she had to fill five minutes on the fly. That's when I would have broken into terets and passed out. But she filled them up like it was nothing. Go girl!

My day started when I signed in at the WOAI desk only to see the name "Amy DeYoung" right above mine. What?!! So a little background. I'm addicted to many blogs...probably more than I should ever admit. And you know you are too, so ANYway, I'd stumbeld on Amy's photo blog about a year ago, and kept up periodically. When I saw that she was moving to San Antonio (a few months back), I basically sent her an email that said, "Hi you don't know me. I'm a blog stalker. Want to have lunch? And I promise I won't murder you". So brave soul that she is, actually agreed. And we had a great time. She also happens to be PREGNANT. So she OF COURSE went to Prego Central and coincidentally met DD, who naturally asked (pretty) Amy to be in the fashion show. And it was so great to see her today in this SMALL WORLD that we live in. Anyway, Amy was also smart enough to bring her camera, so she got a few behind-the-scenes shots if you want to check them out (on her blog link above).
