The Walicks
Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:35AM Dave and Krissy are two of my favorite clients. They're both so laid back and easy to work with. I think our first shoot was two Christmases ago. Since then, I've been lucky enough to capture another pregnancy and the welcoming of little Sage. It's been so fun to watch their family grow.

Addie was quite the photographer...too cute!

I'm too lazy to find all the other sessions we've done together (I think there are three of four)...and they ALL include lollipops. So they've become quite the tradition. :)

Krissy is a pediatric surgeon, and leaving for Afghanistan this week. We're all wishing her a safe tour, and a very quick return home! xo

Thanks Dave and Krissy, and also Karen for the original referral way back when. :)
On a roof. In the Peg.
Friday, November 20, 2009 at 02:18PM When I was in Winnipeg, Kal arranged for me to do a family session for her good friend Dana. How cute is she, right?
Both Dana and Charlie were so warm and welcoming... made for a fun vibe right from the start.

They coolest was getting to shoot on the roof of this building that they own. It was extra special because they also had their wedding photos taken right here. Pretty sweet. Although the one of Charlie standing on the ledge still kind makes my stomach hurt.
My favorite. I could have shot up there all day.

Cutie pattootie...look at those eyes!
Did I mention that I could have shot there all day?

Thank you Dana and fam and Kal!! :)

Have a happy weekend! Tomorrow I get to watch my sweet ballerinas in their first dance festival of the year. Can't wait!!
Chickity China to Chinese Chicken.
Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:22AM Friday again! There's so much going on, the weeks are blurring together. I'm not taking any more sessions this year, and weekends are booking into February. So if you need one, email me soon!
Also, please know that we are working like crazy to get the bags produced. Unfortunately, they're not going to be guaranteed for Christmas. BUT, each style will now include a removable shoulder strap. I'd been on the fence because I didn't design them to be necessarily worn while you shoot. But there were enough requests, and then a recent trip through an airport made me wish I had one. So we made the alteration because options are nice. And THANK YOU for the feedback! Please know that I read every single comment and email, so please keep them coming!
At this point there are so many of you waiting, I thought it would be fun to keep you in the loop! Jason left for China yesterday to check on production. Having never been, neither one of us knew what to expect. And even after watching that Dateline special a couple years ago about how developed they've become over the last 50 years, I was still surprised when Jason described it as "Dallas on Steroids". Alrighty then.
This is him on my computer, skype-ing from his hotel room this morning. It was almost midnight there. I think he was celebrating being off the 14 hour flight.
Showing the kids how the Hong Kong dollar has a transparent window.
Have a great weekend! I'll try to keep you guys posted throughout the process.
